One of the most obvious birds in the Mallee, the Yellow-plumed Honeyeater is boisterous and aggressive towards other birds, observed even to annoy innocuous Chestnut Quail-thrushes as they fossicked on the ground.

I think this one was checking me out and decided on the basis of size and self-preservation that it would leave me alone but it did not appear pleased to see me intruding in the Yellow-plumed Honeyeater playground.
